We Are Good Neighbors!

Much of senior living is about exceptional experience, exceeding expectations, meaningful connections, and relationship building.

We know that every resident has a unique journey that has led them to finding their new home with one of our amazing communities.

That’s why our Good Neighbor program is specially designed to enhance and grow each community with continued friendship and connection so that residents experience a place where they can make lasting memories and enjoy each other in a relaxed, comfortable, and motivating space. We wish for each resident to find the interaction they desire in a place that inspires them to live their best lives together.

Our Good Neighbors program is a referral program for residents to directly benefit from referring a loved one or friend to live their best life at one of our communities. Each community’s referral program offers a unique rent credit when utilized for both the resident and new resident moving in.

Our Good Neighbor nature also goes beyond our own home and reaches out into the greater community. Our premiere communities have active volunteer programs, community outreach, and resident-driven events and activities that provide many ways to give back and pay it forward from sending care packages to troops abroad to knitting hats for local hospitals to recognizing and thanking first responders, we know that being a good neighbor goes beyond or own front doors. That is why being a Good Neighbor and wanting to share our senior living experience is a true part of Living Gracefully at our communities!

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Grace Management, Inc. is not only present and prepared, but continually finding new ways to truly be home for all our unique residents.

As Good Neighbors in our communities, we are pleased to offer virtual visits and tours of all our communities whenever desired and appropriate. Our amazing teams of associates use applications including Skype, Google Meet, Facebook Video Chat, and others, to keep residents and their loved ones connected as well as provide much needed social and emotional connections if in-person is not possible.

At Grace Management communities, our residents have and will continue to engage and socialize. They stay connected with family and friends and experience daily, enriching programming events. We are proud to announce that seven of our senior living communities received SeniorAdvisor.com’s 2022 Best of Senior Living award. The honor is bestowed to senior living communities through A Place for Mom, Inc. and is determined by reviews from seniors and their families on SeniorAdvisor.com, the nation’s largest ratings and reviews site for senior care and services. This exclusive designation honors only the top three percent of senior care providers across the United States and Canada.

The Grace Management, Inc. communities that received this honor are located in the states of Florida, Texas, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. The award-winning communities include:

Beach House, an assisted living and memory care community in Naples, Florida.
Collier Park, an independent living and assisted living community in Beaumont, Texas.
The Residence at Bethel Park, an independent living community in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania.
The Shores at Clear Lake, an assisted living and memory care community in Houston, Texas.

We are also excited to announce that our community, Havenwood of Maple Grove, in Maple Grove, Minnesota is a finalist in the Best of Maple Grove 2022 Reader’s Choice contest for Best Senior Living Residence. The contest is conducted by Maple Grove Magazine and voted on by public survey. We are honored to receive this recognition and look forward to finding out the winner in the 2022 summer’s Maple Grove Magazine publication.

One of our meaningful partnerships is with It’s Never 2 Late® (iN2L) technology, the leading provider of person-centered digital engagement technology.

The company’s picture-based, touchscreen interface provides easy access to unparalleled content, regardless of users’ physical and cognitive abilities. iN2L’s media library offers over 4,000 social, educational, spiritual, and gaming content options.

The impressive technology can be found in a number of The Village Program® Memory Care neighborhoods at our communities that serve residents with Alzheimer’s or dementia-related needs. It continues to be very popular and a wonderfully interactive source of joy, fun, entertainment, and education. Our communities have discovered something unique that makes a positive impact on the daily lives of residents.

In fact, in 2019 two of our communities were part of the company’s 60/20 tour in which the iN2L company celebrated 20 years and the co-founder Jack York celebrated his 60th birthday with a cross-country road trip going to senior living communities that actively use their technology. Our communities Town Village Sterling Heights in Sterling Heights, Michigan, and Camellia at Deerwood in Jacksonville, Florida were two stops along the way for the iN2L co-founder and his cohorts. The road trip stops included traveling in the company’s van and singing some fun songs and showcasing new, interactive technology. In 2020, Grace Management, Inc. VP of Sales Lori Edgerton joined thought leaders from around North America—providers of housing and services for older adults— to create strategies and tactics to help all segments of the senior living industry emerge from restrictions as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The strategies and tactics are collected in the white paper, “Creating a Path Towards the Next Normal in Senior Living.” Edgerton said the idea was “to inspire and empower older adults to play an active role in risk management and maintaining independence.”

Co-Founder and Operating Partner of Chicago Pacific Founders, John Rijos, is also on the Board of Directors for the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC). In addition to providing transparency for the seniors housing and care sector through data and analytics and connecting leaders through high-quality annual events, NIC, led by its Board, is preparing decisionmakers for collaborative relationships with the healthcare sector. Through research, events, publications, and outreach NIC is engaging leaders across the seniors housing, skilled nursing, and healthcare sectors as changing market conditions, demographics, and policy drive the need for innovative, cross-silo partnerships. NIC is also engaging with industry leaders and policymakers on the issue of access and choice for America’s middle-income elders.

There is no denying the immense challenges and changes that have come in the past year with the rise of a global pandemic. COVID-19 has forever changed the landscape of senior living as well. As a premier senior living provider, we put the health and safety of our residents and associates first. Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, we proactively implemented additional protocols and precautionary measures for the protection of our residents and associates. Those include but are not limited to the following:

We are adhering to the guidelines and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as local and state health departments.
We have partnered with Dr. Kevin W. O’Neil, MD, FACP, CMD as our Medical Advisor as an additional measure of support and guidance.
We have partnered with Dr. Regina Benjamin, MD, MBA as an additional resource to educate and support our associates related to COVID-19 and the importance of receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.
We are reinforcing infection control processes and emergency preparedness plans already in effect.
We have enhanced cleaning and sanitation protocols related to COVID-19.
We are ensuring our residents remain connected virtually with their loved ones and empowering in-person visits as permitted by state and local health departments.
We are postponing or adjusting large group functions while preserving connections and engagement.

We are modifying or adjusting dining service as appropriate.
We are regularly monitoring the health of our residents and associates.
We are encouraging and supporting our associates to remain home when any symptoms are experienced.
We are maintaining regular communication with residents, families, and associates, including ongoing education and resources.
We have partnered with Clinical Reference Laboratory to offer rapid result, saliva-based COVID-19 tests for future residents.
We have proactively ensured our senior living communities are prepared with partnerships in place to provide the COVID-19 vaccine and subsequent booster shots, on site for our residents and associates. While each state retains discretion for distribution, we are pleased with the prioritization of senior living as a protective measure for all of those we have the honor to serve.
